CAF and I woke up this muggy July Monday morning after a very very busy weekend (and week) and thought that it would be nice to have the day off. Not another Sunday and not Monday, but a day off.

"We need a day that's not in the week to take off" I said.
We came up with "Lursday", a day not on the calender where we could hide and either catch up on things or just relax.
"Oh I wish it were Lursday."
" Happy Lursday!"
"Can't wait till Lursday."
"Looking forward to Lursday."
"I (heart) Lursday."

The Perfect Day:
Wake up at 6:30
to birds singing,
flawless blue sky,
warm sunshine
and a kiss from the one
who gets up and
makes coffee
dear friends visit
(Nancy and Lars)
be in a parade
win first prize
eat a crab roll
go to the beach
swim in the ocean
nap in the sun
find wild strawberries
throw a stick
to the dog until
she gets tired
and lays down
see friends at the beach
(birthday Julia and Michael)
smell the sun and salt
on your skin
go to friends house
(Gene and Julie)
who pour you a margarita
the minute you walk in the door
walk down the hill to Stonington
still sunny and warm
eat lots of fried seafood
go back to friends house
pour margarita's for other friends
(Dan, Issac, Netty, Stu, Susan,
Julia, Michael, Nancy, Lars, Katy, Jeff, CAF)
Sorry Julie and Gene
we left your house a mess.
go see fireworks
get home and your face
hurts from laughing
look at the July
night sky full of stars
go to bed

Our dear friend TT had surgery maybe 2 weeks ago now.
Sounds like it all went very well and she is convalescing in MA at a friends house.
She will be back on the island next week. That is good because we miss her.
The surgery was very complex and complicated and she said the doctors are quite pleased with themselves and how things turned out.
She said there were over 200 stitches. I imagine it looks like this:

I love you TT and am glad you will be home soon-e
