Well it has been a busy few weeks, I will try to catch you up with as few words as possible, and the best images I have. Spent the night over on Ingrid's island 2 weekends ago, BBQ ed and watched an odd movie called "Strangers with Candy".

Steve and the kids came for a week, we had a ball did everything and went everywhere. My favorite part was.....all of it.
The Blue Hill Fair is this weekend, CAF and I went there on a date Friday night. We ate all our favorite foods (King and Queen Fries, sausage, and strawberry shortcake). We shared everything so as to not overdo it and came home from the fair maybe for the first time ever not feeling ill.

We went on the fares-wheel, looked at the Grange, Craft and Flower Hall competitions. We saw all the animals and lots of interesting people. Big fun and a sweet end to a wonderful summer.

Just this minute CAF came over from the garden with this basket full of potatoes, 20 lbs (we weighted them).

More garlic as well. Yum to all.

Well I am very happy to report that as of today, I have finished my spring cleaning!
Maybe this sounds like a small victory to you, but considering I am talking about spring cleaning 2007, I feel amazingly wonderful about this accomplishment.
Yes mine is a body that can do all sorts of things once again (with the help of daily exercises and my new practice of moderate pacing).
Cheers to a well oiled spinal column, and patience.
"Bless This Mess" no more. Turn the lights up high and come on in, let's eat off the floor!

We went to the Opera House last night to see this years Shakespeare production. It was the Scottish Play (Macbeth). They did an amazing job and I really enjoyed the production very much. Set and costume design a-la Steam Punk.

You know the story, a guy gets too ambitious and hatches a plot to climb the corporate ladder. When he gets cold feet his wife spurs him on for the "good" of the family. He sells his soul to the company, hates his wife for it. Things spiral out of control, they can't hold on, he goes crazy, she goes crazy. They get caught in all their lies and betrayals, huge killing spree, everyone dies-the end.

Loved it. My favorite part is during the dinner party scene when Macbeth see the ghost of his colleague and confidant Banquo (who he just had murdered) while his wife tries to make excuses to their guests. They did an amazing job summarizing the awkward tension and Macbeth's slip into madness.

The ghost of Banquo come in

MACBETH :

Avaunt! and quit my sight! let the earth hide thee!Thy bones are marrowless, thy blood is cold;Thou hast no speculation in those eyesWhich thou dost glare with!

Lady Macbeth tries to apologize to the guests, the ghost leaves, Macbeth snaps out of it...

LADY MACBETH:
You have displaced the mirth, broke the good meeting,With most admired disorder.

I'll say... I hate when the mirth gets displaced!

I think if it were not for my poor memory,
I would be a genius.

There are 2 kinds of people:

the people who think Life is the Dancer, and We are the Dance
and
the people who think We are the Dancer and Life is the Dance
Last Sunday at noon the Hot 8 lead a Second Line Parade through downtown Stonington. From the top of the hill down to the fish pier. We danced and danced. Let the good times roll.
